Vice-President of Communications, Da Zhuo Xie, resigned on the 1st of November. With that resignation comes a by-election to fill his vacancy.
Here are the list of responsibilities of the Vice-President of Communications:
I. The official liaison between the student newspaper and the C.S.A.;
II. Responsible for issuing a regular press release containing the actions and decisions of the C.S.A. This press release will be issued online;
III. Responsible for ensuring the function of the newspaper policies set forth in the
Constitution;
IV. Responsible for advertising the Executive Council’s members and their
responsibilities, as well as overall awareness of C.S.A.’s presence;
V. Responsible for promoting events and initiatives taken on or coordinated by the C.S.A.;
VI. Responsible for promoting all recruitments, elections, and referendums held by the C.S.A.;
VII. The Chairperson of the C.S.A. meetings until the official chairperson is appointed within two weeks of the beginning of a semester;
VIII. Responsible for promoting a monthly calendar of all activities taking place on
campus including non-C.S.A. activities;
IX. Responsible for organizing open forums and general assemblies at a minimum of twice per semester;
X. Responsible for the functioning of C.S.A.’s Social Media.
